Human Hormones for Aligning Teeth?

hormones.jpgA naturally occurring hormone has been found to be responsible for the natural moving of teeth for orthodontics purposes. Researchers are trying to use varying amounts of hormones called Relaxin which is responsible for the natural movement of teeth allowing placement and permanency on the jaw. The use of the hormone would be in conjunction with other traditional alignment methods and is designed to aid the process making it faster and less painful. Regular teeth alignment with braces requires years of wearing braces that is not only painful but also causes quite a lot of discomfort to the person being treated. Adding the hormone in the mix is expected to speed up the process of maxillary alignment allowing shorter treatment schedules and less disturbance to a patient’s lifestyle.
