The controversy of the utter failure of tapered screw-in dental implants has many worried about the implications of thousands if not millions of people who were made to believe they can resume their normal lives heading back to the dentist for a re-do of their implants due to total failure. Dentists and orthodontists agree that any sign of movement or clinical mobility should command immediate attention to prevent damage to the underlying bone which can lead to total implant failure. Clinical mobility with the thousands of those who received such implants have resulted in some failures which has the manufacturers take a second look and having forced some to review and revise their manuals which they attribute to improper installation of such implants as the main cause of failure. Critics are on their heels saying there should have been more clinical trials done before such new technology is allowed and certified safe to use to prevent similar events of failure from happening again.
